UK Data Science Jobs
Morning Data Scientists,
How’s work going?
Are you counting down the seconds till 5pm?
Excited to go home to escape your annoying colleagues?
At my old tax job, one trick I had to waste time was to do laps of the office, looking for snacks to munch on.
That was a surefire sign I needed a change.
3 months later, I found my dream data science job.
I’ve been there almost 2 years now.
And guess what happened to me this summer?
I worked till 6pm on a Friday.
Even though it the sun was blazing outside.
I’d just received data for a new project and was gagging to get started on it.
And that’s the whole point of Data Science -
To work on projects that excite you.
That make you lose track of time.
Where even a small win gets you so pumped up you could take on the world.
Anyway, what you really want to know is this:
How did I get my job?
To land an exciting, high-paying Data Science job in the UK it’s easy to to think you need to:
Apply for 100s of Jobs
Complete loads of courses
Spam strangers for referrals
But I ignored all of this, focusing on
Fewer, high-quality applications (10 applications total)
Selling my existing projects
Building genuine relationships by expecting nothing in return
But these principles didn’t just work for me.
They’ve helped 6 other people I worked with find Data Science jobs they love.
With an average salary increase of £19,200.
Interested in doing the same?
I’ve got 2 spots left (1’s already taken) on my mentorship program The Confident Data Scientist, which will help you find a UK data science job you love.
