Don't Get Your Foot In The Door.

Hey mate,

Have you ever been tempted to take the first job offer you get?

So you can get your ‘foot in the door’?

Everyone tries it but it doesn’t work.

When I accepted my first job offer, deep down I knew it wouldn't be exciting.

I took it anyway, thinking it would be good to get my foot in the door.

But every day I’d log off ASAP to write my fantasy football book.

I knew I couldn’t carry on like this.

So it didn’t take long before I started job hunting again.

This time, I was more selective.

I only applied for ten positions that truly resonated with me.

The result?

I landed a job I genuinely enjoyed.

With a cheeky 25% pay rise.

The difference was night and day.

I remember one project with a tight deadline.

I stayed up until 9pm working on code.

I didn’t have to, but I didn’t want to let my colleagues down.

That level of commitment never would have happened in my previous job.

So, here’s my advice:

Don’t settle for a job just to get your foot in the door.

What’s the point of putting all that effort into a job search

Just to find something you’ll want to escape ASAP?

Plus if you enjoy it, you’ll perform better.

Your first job can set the tone for your career.

So make sure it’s one you’re excited to wake up for.

God Bless,

Albert

P.S.

If you're looking to get your first data science or data analyst job.

Or upgrade to higher paying, more exciting job in data.

I'm opening my program, The Confident Data Scientist on the 1st August.

It's first come first serve - and only $300 to get started (for the first 3 people).

Clients are guaranteed to make at least $10,000 more in their new job (I vet prospects to make sure I can help them)

I open the doors 24 hours early for waitlist members though.

If you'd like to join the waitlist, reply to this email saying "Waitlist" and I'll shoot you the details a day before I open it publicly."
